off the main road is this memorial to the wives and relatives of jewish men arrested for deportation - they protested and the men were released - small with an information board - also could do with a clean (when we went).

Tribute to the women who fought against the deportation of their jewish husbands. It's sad, solemn and beautiful at the same time. Suitable for people who are into history and feminism.

Firstly be careful: there are TWO Rosenstrasses in Berlin and the memorial is close to Alexanderplatz, NOT near Pankau as suggested by some guidebooks or even this website. So if you want to see it don't waste time heading off to Pankau-Heinersdorf! If you find...More
