I walked through the KulturBrauerei in the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood of Berlin in September 2018. It has a free museum on everyday life in East Germany (German Democratic Republic), a street food market, music, a movie and film center and many other things. I visited...More

Converted old brewery premises now used to host bars, food trucks and museum. Bustling environment and well worth a visit.

The former brewery turned into a cultural hotspot is very nice. However visiting on a Sunday night around 10PM left me wonder why the place is so quiet since there's so much on offer.

A 19th century brewery turned into a cultural hotspot. Successful contrast between the industrial red brick buildings and the multicultural activities organized on the site. Not-to-be-missed in Prenzlauer Berg.

I knew nothing about this but it had been recommended.. We weren't disappointed. It's a rambling series of buildings, interesting in themselves, originally a brewery and now housing, among other things, restaurants,a cinema, night club and a museum on everyday life in the DDR. There...More

We did a biking tour with a group of 12. We had a good guide (Step O), this is a nice way to explore Berlin.

This is a former brewery which has been converted into a number of units e.g. art gallery and a very good (and free) museum about East German life. At the weekend there were lots of pop-up food stalls offering a mixture of world cuisines.

A culture complex located in a former brewery in the Prenzlauer Berg area: cinema, exhibitions, food trucks, disco & cheap beer at night. Useful: a Rewe supermarket closing at 11pm.

Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
