Although I’d been to the Kunstgewerbem Museum on our 2015 visit to Berlin, I wanted to return in order to spend more time with this dizzying collection of objects, which go way beyond what we think of as “handicrafts.” Many of the pieces are exquisite...More

I didn't have much time today, but I could have spent hours here. This museum was really well organized, and they have an excellent collection that is presented well. Highlights for me were the clothing...there were some very famous designers like Poiret, Cardin, Fortuny, etc....More

This is one of the best hidden gems in Berlin. If you love applied Arts this is the museum to go to. It had a fabulous collection of gold/silver objects, furniture, costumes, fashion and best part was there are more museums near by to add...More

This museum has one of the best collections of applied arts that I have seen. Gold, ivory and wood from all ages are on display. We spent most of our time on the collection from the middle ages and had to miss out on the...More

From the medieval Welfenschatz (Guelph treasure) to twentieth-century ceramics and glass, this is a splendid collection of treasures from many centuries. Though clearly not as popular as the Gemaeldegalerie to which it is connected by an underground passage, the Museum of Applied Art will prove...More

This museum looks at items such as glass, metal, porcelain, fashion, etc. It covers the period from the Middle Ages to now. The best parts are the Art Nouveau section on the top floor, just outside the main galleries. Then the works in the Medieval...More

Museum of Applied Art is one of the museums inside Kuturforum complex, it is in a separate wing from the more famous (and very popular) Gemäldegalerie. All museums in Kuturforum complex are a part of the 20+ museums that belong to "State Museums of Berlin"...More

This museum is part of the Kulturforum, a short walk from Potsdamer Platz and next to the Gemäldegalerie. The rather ugly 1960s-style building houses an interesting exhibition of decorative arts - religious artefacts, furniture, porcelain and fashion. The collection is large but there was nothing...More

There's a lot of textiles, some you can try on (good for kids). There's a lot of design. I enjoyed the finished and unfinished versions of some of the pottery. Interesting. It's worth a drive by especially if you get a museum card (I did...More
