If this tower was anywhere but Rothenburg, it would be spectacular. As it is, it's kind of middle of the road compared to the others.

We visited this gate at night and in the morning. At both times it was shrouded in mist. This added to the atmosphere. It is also a gateway to the Burggarten and views of Rothenburg and the river below. Worth the effort to visit.

This is the entry to the town via the the Burggarten, a nice walk to take away from the crowds. Particularly beautiful in the winter when it is lit up quite early.
