A very enjoyable visit to a fascinating museum beautifully laid out with good information and displays. The rooms that had been part of the monastery were fascinating especially the library on two floor. Several of the rooms were devoted to the musical instruments that were...More

This has the excellent Dance Macabre and a superb collection of violins (sic) are the most interesting thing here. It's only €6 Per adult so it's quite cheap by German standards. We liked it and spend about an hour wandering around..

This was a real surprise, especially the variety of exhibits inside. The stringed instruments wery cool, but many of the displays also gave great insight into the history of the area. Very well worth a stop.

I'd read reviews that this was not that interesting, but even as a non-German speaker I really enjoyed this. It's quite large, with interesting architecture and art. I got a good sense of why Fussen is considered the "romantic soul of Bavaria".

Definitely a museum for string instrument lovers. Artifacts from centuries ago, artwork, and a library that will blow your mind. One thing we witnessed, is people that purchased tickets, were told when they went to enter, no entry was allowed after 4pm (If I remember...More

There were a lot of interesting things in this museum, like the special exhibit on the Bavarian lion and the history of the building itself. We found some of the exhibits a tad boring, but that depends on taste. It was a good way to...More
