This has the excellent Dance Macabre and a superb collection of violins (sic) are the most interesting thing here. It's only €6 Per adult so it's quite cheap by German standards. We liked it and spend about an hour wandering around..

This was a real surprise, especially the variety of exhibits inside. The stringed instruments wery cool, but many of the displays also gave great insight into the history of the area. Very well worth a stop.

I'd read reviews that this was not that interesting, but even as a non-German speaker I really enjoyed this. It's quite large, with interesting architecture and art. I got a good sense of why Fussen is considered the "romantic soul of Bavaria".
