Mozart's father, who was also a famous composer and a very active manager of the young Mozart, was born in this house and Mozart himself spent several years there. At the reception desk you will get an audio device, which automatically adapts to every new...More

This is a very manageable museum with a great audio guide, beautiful music and interesting displays. I enjoyed all the audio guide stories while strolling through the rooms and seeing many pictures, letters, some instruments and memorabilia. It only takes about an hour to enjoy...More

The father of Amadeus Mozart has his life story told. His 2 wives, Amadeus's birth & his sister. The fathers incredible musical talent. Press releases of the Amadeus boy wonder playing all over Europe. Many documents & objects of interest. Well worth the visit.

As this was Leopold Mozart's house we had hoped to learn a bit more about him personally, but much of the exhibition focused on his son Wolfgang Amadeus. However, musicians will find it interesting and it's certainly worth a visit.

Nice that this is available to visit where Mozart's father was born. The lady attendee was xterm fly helpful and enthusiastic. It was lovely to sit in the courtyard and listen to the tunes and imagine how it was like. There are some lovely exhibits.

The museum displays Leopold's music notes, violin instructional books, travel notes and journals, manuscripts, instruments, family portraits and his life...More

Charts the life of Leopold Mozart - his birth and life. It focuses on his raising of his son (Wolfgang Mozart,) and how Leopold successfully made Mozart into an international star. Very reasonable cost to enter, and an audioguide (in a few languages) is included....More

The audio guide activates automatically and is a bit erratic. The museum charts the history of Leopold Mozart and one realised how cleverly he managed the careers of his brilliant children. He left Augsburg to escape the Jesuits.
