Augsburg's botanical gardens are not too large, neither too fancy, but worth spending an hour or two. Don't be too disappointed when expecting too much especially about the japanes part of the garden which is quite small.

A must-visit place for your Asian friends. The Botanic garden is a wonder when in full bloom. A very tight relationship between Augsburg & Japan because of Rudolph Diesel.

Nice garden, good place to relax. Might get crowded on weekends. Don’t miss the Japanese garden. In the Winter the greenhouses are sometimes used to show exotic butterflies.

I was there for a jazz concert so I walked around to kill some time before the show and was blown away by the beauty.

While the Japanese Garden is said to be the top attraction, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive gardens and other water displays even in mid-September. This is well worth a visit whether by car or by bus. It is close to the Zoo and...More

Only 1.50 euros gets you entrance to the whole gardens (may need to pay more to enter any special exhibition if on)
