The walk through old town was interesting. There are some tight areas but overall a nice walk. Many shops and restaurants. Our tour guide explained the streets and showed us areas where there are parts of the wall exposed.
We were here on a Scenic River Cruise and took the opportunity to wander around the old town area. We have been here before but it is always worth another look a few years later. There are many shops and restaurants to enjoy, not forgetting...More
We loved walking around Regensburg. Our only regret is not spending more time here. We only stayed for one night but found the shops, restaurants and bars to be fabulous on top of the beauty of the city itself.
Square after square opens onto alleys, streets, cafe's with everyone walking. Beware the strong perfume and constant smoking from elegant draped women to full on lesbians. I wheezed the entire time I was there. Europeans seem to also eat very few to no vegetables.

For the city center, we parked at Dachauplatz Parking House, very easy to find, because you just get off the main highway (15) to your right, to the south and drive in the old town Eiserne Brücke. Use your navigation system. There are though other options like underground parking at the theatre at Bismarckplatz.
