Wow. This street is so historical lined with immaculate architecture that I just sat and viewed the detailed homes for a while.

Walking through this area of Nuremberg provides one with examples of old architecture as well as with a number of photo opportunities. It is free, easily accessible, and worth a few minutes of one's time.

Picture perfect street in the middle of old town with shopping and cafes. It is hard to walk as you are looking up at all the beautiful old buildings.

Located directly inside the Halletor (Gate), is the largest collection of half-timber structures in Nuremburg. The name comes from the tanners who lived on this street during the Middle Ages. Stand where the street meets Maxpaltz for an excellent photo. (Like the one here.)

Just to look at. Quaint, nice, but not much to do otherwise. Good for photo-opsbut easily walked through within minutes.

A pearl in the middle of this old town, colorful buildings in the half timbered style... try to get lost in the middle of this German scenario...

We enjoyed our walk around the old town and included this street in it. It's a beautiful street where locals go about their everyday business. It's not much more than this and a photo opportunity but I suppose it's all we expected.

Visited this street as listed in most tourist guides a must see, but was hugely underwhelmed. Some lovely houses, but nothing particularly special to make this stand out.

I was there during the Fischtage Festival, and it was delightful! We had fried fish, watched a bunch of tiny old German men sing English sailor songs, and ate candied nuts. It was simply glorious and there were things for the children to do. So...More

Just about every tourist guide identifies this street as a must-see destination. But what a disappointment! The street is surprisingly short, it does not comprise entirely (or mostly) of half-timbered structures. There are plenty other German cities that can legitimately claim more prominence in that...More
