My reason for visiting this cemetery is one of my oldest and best American friends last wish was to be buried at St Johannis that his body would remain in an area of Germany he lived in for over 50 years within sight of his...More

Visit one of the most beautiful graveyards of the middle age. Here you find the graves of artists like Albrecht-Dürer. A wonderful scenery with roses and old sandstone graves. Great!

The cemetery is pretty even in winter. The summer plants have been replaced by heathers. Quiet and a place for reflection.

Over the years I have seen many cemeteries up close or in passing. This one is one of a kind. There are fresh cut flowers everywhere and it is simply beautiful. This is a fascinating and historical old location and landmark.

This was a site that one member of our group wanted to visit. We strolled around the cemetary, just as a service was concluding in the chapel. We did walk into the chapel following the service, but didn't stay because we felt like we were...More

A lovely respectful location for a final rest. Durer's grave is discretely marked if you pay attention, I did not. I spent too much time looking when there were markers pointing the way. I was able to enjoy the experence, wandering quietly, contemplating how I...More

How can one say a cemetery is beautiful, but this one is really lovely. Roses were in abundance on top of the graves and it was a very special visit. I would highly recommend spending time in here and reflecting on the past.

The place is very quite and beautiful. It has a personal touch and you have to see how different people see their lost ones. There are a lot of flowers thrown everywhere. And there are a lot of sensational words on each stone.

We were "castled" out by this time on our trip and wanted something different to see. This is a lovely old cemetery that is still in use today. We were surprised at how well kept each plot was with most having fresh flower pots on...More

Unlike any other cemetery, this is not only best known, and most beautiful in Nuremberg, it is outstanding with beautiful flowers on top of stone grave stones. It's worth seeing, if you can spare a little time from your city tours
