Excellent museum. Many unique items, detailed explanation in German and English. Great variety. Beautiful live lunch concert at museum's cafeteria (once a month).

There are several very early globes, made before the discovery of the americas. You can see Japan and Cuba right next to each other in the old representation of the only-partially understood world. Fascinating.More

I thought, it would be more "german", but there i was positively surprised. You can find here something for (almost) every taste. Nürnberg's history, architecture, art. Maybe a little too much for one day ? Take You time for this place. Love all the Cranach...More

Spent 3 hours here one morning before my train left. I was really impressed: 8 Euro's per adult and they accept credit cards 1 Euro for the back-pack locker and you get the Euro back Clean bathrooms. Nice cafe. This place is large and extensive....More

A great museum which is easy to find and navigate. Moving through the different areas is fascinating and the collections themselves are interesting and well laid out.

A sensational museum of all things German. Incredible art, artifacts, everything. But it is HUGE! Definately get a map and sit to decide what is most important to you. Layout is confusing but the guides in the rooms are very helpful.

I was really impressed by the collections in the museum. It is quite big, so you can spend a even few hours, if you want to. You will see part of ancient history of where Germany is nowadays, up to amazing paintings of German art....More

The museum was Beyond my expectations but to find the exhibit was very difficult it was a lot lot of walking around up-and-down in and out the special exhibit on fashion I enjoyed and they had most information in English the information people at entry...More

This is from the Museum's English website: Does the Museum have a parking lot? There are city parking garages in the immediate vicinity of the Museum, e.g. below the Kornmarkt. The Museum does not have its own parking... More
