The Altstadt has many interesting churches close to the Imperial castle, all within comfortable walking distances. The canal with its bridges and the cobblestones made for quaintness and great atmosphere.

A good shopping centre with a good market. We visited the cathedral. Lots of nice places to eat and drink and is lively late into the evening.

I do feel for the City as what is old feels so new after being bombed to ruins in ww2. However you get the feel if not the authenticity.

We love nuernberg and especially the old town. There is always so much happening in the market square. Easy to walk around and almost traffic free.
