This train station is big, yet very organized. I was very impressed with how easy it was to get around and get assistance! If you are travelling to Munich, take the train!!

Efficient and relatively clean station, only 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Munich CBD. Some dodgy surrounding streets with urine smell typical of large European cities - but in comparison to other cities Munich Hbf is very good.

The central station has clearly demarcated signs to point you to the right train. They all have the letter U, and then a number, i.e., U1, U2, U3, etc. There are signs at each stop to tell you when the next three trains will be...More

It is easy to find your way around and there are plenty of places to get food and drink. The issue we had being from America, was the machine to purchase tickets required a pin with our credit card. This is common in Europe but...More

Very animated place, a good place for breakfast, lots of variety. It is interesting to see how trains stop almost next to your coffee table.

I really liked the Munich Hauptbahnhof because of how clean and efficient it was and I was also pleasantly surprised at the abundance of great food was available, not to mention the fact that you can drink your beer on the train. If I was...More

Well I spent most of my time in Bogen and Straubing and two days in Munich and no car. So I cannot really provide you with options. Base case once your there you would need to ask around.

There are lockers at the station so you can store your luggage there. I would go to the ticket office to get a ticket that would allow you to use the metro within Munich and also the train out to the airport. The ticket... More
