‘Schloss’ seems to exaggerate the gravitas of Blutenburg. What stands today is more in the manner of a peaceful country estate than a fortress but it wasn’t always so. It may have been better at keeping people in than out, none more dangerous than Lola...More

A wonderful small palace within an intimate setting. Library, lake and small restaurant make it an easy stop. The chapel in the wall of the palace is also a delight. Don't miss it. Great at any time of year.

This wonderful picturesque little castle is located some 9.26 km west from the city centre and it dated from 15th century. It was used as a hunting-lodge. Very peaceful, pleasant and relaxing experience. My recommendation!
