About
Huge complex of buildings makes this one of the most enjoyable museums you will ever visit. Plan to spend a great portion of the day there since there are so many exhibits and rooms to see.

This is a beautiful zoo, natural habitats, lots of space, well marked paths. The apes and the tiger were especially impressive.

I have visited this zoo several times, and see something new each time. They have such a great selection of animals. My favourites are the fish and the birds of prey. Allow plenty of time, as it is huge.

As zoos go, one of the best ones I have seen. It feels open and spacious, and whenever possible, fences have been removed or avoided and replaced by moats, which feel far more natural. Short of having no zoos at all, this is a good...More

The zoo and the animals were great. The only bad thing is that everything written about the animals and also the shows and trainings they do are in German. No English at all. Not even at the food stand or the restaurant.

The zoo is so big and wide, so well planned that in the post-visit memories there is no feeling of cages or fences left, more like walking between different animals in their nature habitat.

It depends on what type of group you are. Because with my kids and nephews it takes about 4-5 hours. And I would advise you to take some snacks for picnic, unless you are OK with oily crepes and French Fries.
