My fiancée and I booked a private tour of Dachau with Dark History Tours after reading all the positive reviews on here. I can honestly say that Taff is the best tour guide I've ever had and it's not even close. He provided insightful commentary...More

Taff strikes the right blend of knowledge, humour, beer and swords! The history tour that i attended was most enjoyable. If you are an English speaker who has done the sites or craves seeing a differnt angle on Munich, then you could do a lot worse than...More

Taff came to my hotel and off we went, first got coffee. Taff is very personable and knowledgable about the history of the Third Reich, and the role played by Munich. If (when!) I get back to Munich, I'll use him again. Excellent tour.

Taff brought his A-game right from the get go. The impact of standing exactly where the moments in history which he discussed was incredibly impactful. His ability to tear through his mighty binder of information and pictures with such accuracy was entertaining on it's own....More

Taff could have been Dos Equis' Most Interesting Man in the World. He is an archaeologist, an actor, a World War II and Medieval history buff, an ex-pat but, also the local, a beer aficionado, and your pal from the pub. Somehow he also showed...More

Taff knows more about this area and the history surrounding the rise of the 3rd Reich than anyone we have ever encountered. He uses rich narrative, pictures and physical pieces of history to give a particularly poignant experience to his clients. The combo walking tour...More

There cannot be much about this period that our host, David ‘Taff’ Simon, does not know and his technique of showing us photographs and postcards to compare then and now at key locations was an excellent approach to take us back to and better appreciate...More
