Went to the museum with high expectations but left a little disappointed. Apart from a few beer steins and posters there is not too much to see. The only high point is having a beer in the original bar. Don’t bother with the museum and...More

This is a tiny gem in Munich detailing the history of the famous Oktoberfest. It was very interesting and lots of pictures, but I felt it was a topic that could have had much more information. it was very much a snapshot of it all....More

The museum is set in an old building with a pub at the bottom. The exhibits are fairly old, dry and don’t updated seem to have been updated for at least 10 years. Most of the descriptions haven’t been translated into English. The pub only...More

Here, in the upper stories of this quite small building, just above a bar/ restaurant, they tell the story of Munich's Oktoberfest. To be honest it's a little on the dry side, but if you're interested in the details, there are some good historical photos....More

There are a lot of areas for improvement here: the signage is not great, the flow is confusing, and the educational value is minimal. This is more of a cultural experience than anything else. The beer museum is small, and really just gives an overview...More

This is a small museum. It shows the bavarian beer tradition and gives some impressions of the Oktoberfest in Munich and the history. It's worth a visit.

Dani was our tour guide and she made the trip so interesting and having only lived in Munich for 5 years, from Oregon USA she really knew her stuff. She was able to give us a history of Oktoberfest that currently goes on in September...More

Small, interesting museum, but the best part of the visit was the movie on the 3rd floor. Most of the important written information was translated to English, but much was only in German. I wanted to read the details as well. :) Afterwards you can...More
