We were super excited to visit Neuschwanstein, but the weather couldn’t have been any worse. It poured with rain and it was completely enveloped in a cloud for the entire 4 days we were there. Of course you can’t help the weather, but it’s something...More

Magnificent, opulent and not finished, it almost made Bavarian kings bankrupt and cost throne and life to its owner and creator - King Ludwig II. However, Ludwig will always be remembered - it is the greatest monument to him.

The entrance fee is high, but he tour is worth all the money. The audio guide that guides you through the castle is well thought, not too long not too short, and provides interesting insights. The castle is amazing both for its architecture and history....More

We booked with a local tour service. Tickets have been taken care of and we had a tour guide for a full day. Highly recommended.
