No vandalism here, well looked after by the locals, unlike the U K. Sublime serenity, each headstone perfectly manicured.Obviously a lot of history especially from the war, so sad but poignant.

We forget that there are two sides to each story and in conflicts of war people die on both sides. It is a reminder that war is not a means to an end. Area was well maintain with numerous family plots that extend hundreds of...More

Visited to find the grave of Toni Kurz who tragically died while attempting a climb of the North face of the Eiger in 1936. Also saw the grave of Dietrich Eckart who was Hitler"s mentor in the 1920's.

I love the way the German's eulogize their loved ones, especially their lost sons and daughter's due to WWII. Very much worth the visit! Take flowers! This will impact you!

An interesting and well kept cemetery. It is sad to see so many war head stones marked with the place of death being 'in Russia' or 'in the east'. There are many candles burning at night. Well worth a visit.
