I didn't aware of Lake Alpsee when i planned for the trip. I rented a car and drove to visit Neuschwanstein. I found Parking P4 the nearest parking to the bus stop to the castle. Lake Alpsee is about 5 minutes walk from bus stop....More

This beautiful lake on the shores of Hohenschwangau is a beautiful cold water leak at the base of two wonderful castles. Take a moment and follow the easy walking trail around the side of the lake for excellent views of both castles.

Beautiful place..a 3km lake in schwangau area of neuschwanstein castle..superb scenic views..whole area is walking distance..very nice cafes..lots of lovely souvenir shops..spend the whole day here..take the bus or horse carriage to the sights as lots of climbing...
