The Tiergarten Ulm is located in the park Friedrichsau surrounded by trees and small lakes. Especially the aquariums are very nicely designed. The tunnel with the fish of the Danube is very worth seeing and impressive. In the tropical hall you can admire birds, monkeys and crocodiles. Outside in the grounds are housed pets and farm animals, but also meerkats and kangaroos. A small playground, barefoot path and a kiosk with cheap and good food attract outdoors! The park area invites you to linger with old trees, streams and beautiful planting.
I recommend visiting the zoo for 2-3 hours to see everything relaxed. Definitely a nice excursion destination.

We enjoy visiting news and animal parks across Germany, and since we was in ulm, we thought we would check this one out.
We found that there was not many animals in the park. However, this is reflected by the price. It is only 5 euros for an adult. The aquarium area was okay. However, there was various dead fish, unclean tanks and around 5-7 tanks empty. The farm area would be fun for kids, but not much in there either.
Overall, we spent a hour in the animal park, which included going around all the animals. If you had children, i could imagine you could spend 2 hours here or more if you had a picnic with you.

This was a great place to come with the children and to get out of the rain. Just like everything else we saw in Germany, everything was spotlessly clean and well organized. Okay, so the zoo is not top ranking, but was a very pleasant way of spending a few hours especially for our four year old who found the tropical fish fascinating.
There is also a really beautiful park adjoining the zoo which is definitely worth a stroll. This park has a number of very interesting metal sculptures from the '80s, as well as a few play areas. Recommended.

My son and me had an amazing time here. It is a small place but well kept and interactive for kids. Aquariums are very good. Healthy and happy animals. My son had enjoyed a cleaning session which was happening for the cage of 3 yellow pythons. There is a beautiful park around this and two days has gone so fast. We had thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Taken long walks and would definitely like to go back to Ulm again next year.

There aren't many animals here but enough to keep young children happy. Some of the animals can be seen as you walk through the Friedrichsau park.

The zoo is very well maintained and pretty clean, they have a decent amount of aquatic animals and birds. There are a few monkeys, a bear and some deer. The farm animals were a lot of fun the kids enjoyed feeding the donkeys, lamas and goats. they have toilet brushes to scratch the pigs with, the boys loved that. If you have younger kids and are in the area, you should go. There is an awesome playground near by as well.

I keep coming here since I'm a little child. Even though the Tiergarten is not a real zoo and big animals like lions etc are missing, it is always nice to go there and see the animals. The renovation some years ago implemented an outdoor park with goats, deer, alpacas etc. I like the tropical area with the birds and monkeys very much.

If you know the zoo is really really small, then you may enjoy it. There are lots of fish and reptiles inside (good for when it is cold outside like now) also the bird/monkey are is also ok. If the other animals like the wallaby and the bear are out, those are entertaining also.

When I was a kid we regularly went to the Tiergarten. Now with my little one, I will be a regular guest again! Very nice little zoo. Of course not comparable with big zoos, but still a nice experience.

I was so impressed with the Tiergarten on our recent visit. I knew it was small so wasn't expecting much, but for a few euros I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of reptiles, fish, parrots and monkeys to see.
The monkey enclosures are set in the tropical house, with big vertical space, and a jungle feel with full grown trees throughout. The animals appear happy, and it is particularly nice to go on a cold day as it keeps you warm!
Outdoors my son enjoyed feeding the alpaca and goats. We will have to visit again in Summer to see the bears.
Extra special points go to the cashier, who noticed my baby was sleeping and mimed the ticket price to me so she didn't get disturbed and wake!

Mvh
Niels.

I think it should be possible but you have to organise it with the zoo directly.
55 persons. it works, but shouldn't be more...maybe you can divide ist into 2 Groups, would be better. parking by bus is no Problem. approx. 200 m away is a big parking area.
