This is a unique spot that I regularly take visitors to. Not only is it a very poignant reminder of what happened when Stuttgart was heavily bombed in WW2 but it is also a pleasant and gentle walk, plus there are great views of the...More

I completely agree with jasdombo's review. The parking lot is below, and it's a bit of a walk, but on a nice day, a pleasant walk with a good view.

Rubble hill is the tallest hill around Stuttgart and made taller when the rubble from WW2 was dumped here. You park nearby and have to walk up. Need to be ready for that. Wear good shoes. At the top are crosses and plaque and views...More

It was neat to see the history but the weeds and grass had grown up really bad at the top. The city view is breathtaking

It was fantastic to walk up this hill and experience this place. The views are wonderful and you really get taken back to a tragic time that wasn't that long ago. I was just a wee bit surprised that the upkeep of the surrounding gardens...More

I found this short hike pleasant and worth the time. I was disappointed that it is so over grown and saddened to find litter and graffiti. I imagine 'the powers that be' are content with letting the history be taken back by nature.

Wasn’t really sure what to expect when we reached the parking lot at the bottom of the hill. We had already driven up substantially from the city center. We encountered a beautiful 15 minute, or so, hike through the woods on well maintained, wide, and...More

A wonderful and inspiring place to visit. It can be accessed by car, or bus, and is a short walk. I won't spoil the story, but it leaves you inspired in the human race. It's free and has a great view of th city.

Well worth the drive. Parking lot was a little confusing. Breath taking when you think about what you are looking at.

"Mote Scherbelino" is a mountain in Stuttgart that was made out of ruins of the 2nd world war. It's sad to see all the beautiful pieces of buidings and makes you think what Stuttgart could look like if everything was still intact. After walking about...More

Hey buddy. Take the U9 toward Botnang from the HBF and hop off at Lindpaintner Str. Behind the station on the opposite side that the street is on, there's a stairway through the trees. That will take you straight up to... More

No. That address will take you downtown Stuttgart near the Schlossplatz. If coming from Vaihingen or the A8, take the B14. Drive straight until you get to the corner of Rotenwaldstraße and Geißeichstraße. You'll see a... More

It's at the corner of Geiseichstrasse and Rottenwalstrasse. There is a small parking lot. You cross the Geiseichstasse and begin a windy/paved route uphill.
