Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a real treat to find in the foyer of the Best Western Plus, Felbach, a leaflet telling us about the Museum of Trams from Stuttgart. It was an easy walk from Mercedesbahn stop on the U1 and was a real eyeopener. There were trams from many years ago and it was really interesting especially to a former train spotter. ( My wife found it interesting as well).

A great way to get around city proper in Stuttgart. Very reliable and clean. Dog friendly, and has enough room for bicycles.

I was really looking forward to this museum. It took me thirty minutes on the u-Bahn, followed by a fifteen minute walk to get there. It was not hard to find, using the Google Maps app. There were lots of trams there, most of which looked alike to me. There was an interesting description of the history of the trams in Stuttgart. I saw the whole museum in about thirty minutes.

Some of the comments seem to be about the transport around stuttgart but this is a museum. If you like trams this is the place for you. Its a bit difficult to find but the displays are good and you even get to walk under a tram via an inspection pit. There seemed to be another hall which we could not get into and an audio guide would have been helpfull

This is a marvellous little tourist attraction that appeals to both kids and adults alike.
STRASSENBAHNWELT outlines the history of Stuttgart public transport and also offers insights into the running of the tram's and train's.
The toy trainset is great fun and just look's so cool and the hustoric tram ride is just a joy.
Very easy to locate on VEILBRUNNENWEG.
Well worth a visit.

We visited at the beginning of this year with my little 3 year old nephew who is crazy about trains and public transport and he loved it. You can go inside the Ubahn trains and have a look round and touch everything and there is a small train that you can drive yourself under a glass dome and there is a corner with games for children so that it does not get boring for them. There are also lots of displays with information about how the Ubahn came into existence in Stuttgart and there is also a small shop where you can buy some lovely stuff (also for children) like games and books. And don't forget you are taken on a ride with an old Ubahn train for 30 mins through Stuttgart, this is always an experience for the little ones - and the adults alike!

We ride the subway. Fast, clean, on time, inexpensive and runs to where you want to go every ten minutes. Group fares are best. Plus, yes, the name refers also to a train museum. Hard to find, often hard to visit and a little underwhelming but worth it if you love trains

Have gone a few times in the old and new location, I love trains, streetcars and public transportation. Stuttgart has an extremely rich and interesting streetcar history which is preserved very well at the museum. Just about every model of street car that ever traveled the tracks of Stuttgart is present. Only thing I miss right now is being able to ride the "old-timer line 21" until Stuttgart 21 is finished the old timer is grounded. But, well worth the visit for kids and adults alike.
