Durlach is the oldest part of KArlsruhe. On this Turmberg, there has been from the 16.th centura a guard-tower. Nowadays this is only ruins, but you have from the platform beautiful vies of the valley, and Karlsruhe too.
Well worth a visit to see this venue, just outside Karlsruhe easily accessible by tram. Use the mountain train to see the top, only 5 Euros per couple return. Fantastic views over the city. Small cafe at the top with toilet access.
