A nice drive over a well-maintained comfortabel road. Many highlights, if you consider pine-trees upon pine-trees exiting… Probably the most popular spot is Mummelsee, but than again: fully overcrowded, artificial and let's call it "popular". Believe the reviews on here - the drive was so worth it! We pulled over several times to take in the views - particularly beautiful near the Mummelsee area. We visited Mummelsee lake which was relaxing even though quite busy. Make sure you stop at...More

A beautiful drive with many good places to stop for the view (or just enjoy the view from the car). Worth the detour.

I had been expecting a magical route and beautiful scenery, and instead all I found was a very plain route through a very plain pine forest. North America and Scandinavia have thousands of "forest routes" more scenic than this one. Don´t believe the hype !

We drove the road for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. It was beautiful and quaint. I'd highly recommend it as part of a Black Forest visit.

It's a must-do in the forest as it will take you to many sights and hikes and has many places with great views over the forest and the Rhine valley. However, it's a busy highway, even on a weekday, so try to drive down some...More
