Overview
More
In 1900, Marius Fabre founded his soap company in Salon de Provence. Today, the fourth generation of his family is carrying on the tradition of real Marseilles soap with the same passion. This traditional know-how, handed down through generations in our family, guarantees that Marseille soap has kept its peerless quality over centuries. We invite you to discover our traditional soap factory, during a guided visit.

Has a great shop for soap people. Tour was interesting, but need to call ahead to ensure a English tour. Ours was in French.

Arrived at 9:45 for tour at 10:30. There was another extra scheduled at 10:10 which was great. We managed to park in the factory courtyard, but you should be able to park by the sports centre nearby otherwise. Tour was in French. We were given...More

This is a really modest museum, but it is interesting to see how the soap is made and learn a bit about the history of the soapmaker. Given that it is free, it is well worth dropping in. And the gift shop is excellent!

For who never wondered how soap is made from A to Z, the factory visit is very interesting, free and lasts 40 minutes. It is possible to park in their courtyard (we realised it afterwards...). Closed on Sundays.

It was well worth the short train trip from Marseille to visit this small soap factory. It was amazing to see how old fashioned everything still was. A nice museum and shop too!

One of the oldest soap making factories in the region, Marius Fabre still takes pride in doing things the old-fashioned way. A cute little museum shows the company's proud history, while the free guided tour adds a bit more color and background to what goes...More
