We had a stroller and a toddler and were told to wait in a certain queue, front of the line. When the boat arrived, the attendants boarded everyone else before us instead. Complete disregard for families. The boat also took the water too hard and...More

anyone visiting Marseilles should take the Frioul If Express from Vieux Port to the islands that is only 30 min boat ride away. The islands are beautiful but expensive. The boat connections are frequent and very reasonable. I visited in 2015

No issue with the boat trip itself and there are regular crossings, which is helpful since it is the only way to get to Frioul and Chateau If, but the queues for the ticket office can be long, and there’s very little shade. You can...More

The island and castle of If are worth a visit, really beautiful and well maintained castle with a souvenir shop and cafe. However, this ferry operator offers a very poor service, they do not respect their own time table at all (with perfect weather), they...More

Buy tickets in the kiosk and queue for 20 mins before departure time. The boat then takes you through the old port and out to sea. If the chateau d’if is open it stops there and then Frioul. The day we went the return ferry...More

Chateau d'if and Frioul Archipelago are the only two islands that are accessible via the ferry. They would both be great places to bring an 8 year old. From my understanding the other smaller islands are only accessible by... More
