You truly feel the soul of the city once there , very beautiful tiny streets with typical architecture

This is probably the best neighbourhood if you are fond of walking through ancient streets, visiting a good cause second hand shop, or just chatting with a villager. Lovely area to hang out for a few hours.

Le Panier is a mix between Barcelona 🇪🇸 and Napoli 🇮🇹. Wonderful area where u can find the best of marseille, many shops where you can find the typical marseille’s solid soap. Absolutely recommended for take pictures and chilling around.

Wandering around is marvellous in le Panier. It’s got a unique feeling that I really loved. It is a must see for mural and street art hunting. There are so many streets for this: rue de Poirier, rue Beauregard, rue du Refuge, Montee des Accoules,...More

Took an after-dinner walk and the neighborhood is a lot quieter but still the old neighborhood aura is there. Recommend that you explore the many stairs and walkways with graffitis painted on them. There is often a surprise at the end ...

Old part of Marseille with a special charm that is totally worth visiting. We took our time to discover narrow streets, multiple stairs, little squares, and local shops and cafes. I would absolutely recommend visiting it because it does look different from other old towns:...More

....and really worth effort to walk there to see the beautiful, typically French architecture and the clash between the old buildings and new graffiti. There a range of boutique shops and cafes as you are meandering through the streets. Only downside was the large amount...More

The paintings were cool but I expected more. Maybe my friends had hyped it up too much, but I wasn’t really impressed. It was ok.

While we waited to be let into our vacation rental, we saw loads of people climbing the many steps that led past our door. This included tours. We couldn't figure out what the attraction was until the next day when we realized that we were...More

I think visiting alone during the day would be fine. There were some groups of street artists on some of the corners hanging out and playing music. Otherwise you just wander in and out of artistic little stores and galleries. More
