Tucked away in the mountain village of Grimaud sits this ancient church. When we entered from the bright morning sunshine, it took minutes for our eyes to adjust and the dark to be replaced by light. What emerged was a beautiful, well preserved interior of...More

One cannot enter without sensing the hundreds of people who have likely prayed, married, and been buried from this holy little parcel of Grimaud. The architecture and simplicity speak to its founding in the 12th century. It is formidable in its stone structure and feels...More

What is most impressive is that this little church was built in the 11th century and the interior is very well preserved.

We attended a friends wedding there and it wS a beautiful venue very simple and traditional but steeped in history. Grimaud village is well worth a walk round and the bars and cafes are very good

I've seen many churches, but this eleventh century church really moved me for some reason. The architecture has clean lines, and the church has been well preserved. Definitely worth a visit. We weren't there for the concerts, but it would be a great venue. If...More

Simple 11th century church, beautifully maintained with a superb new 2015 organ of imaginative design. The tiny windows contain excellent modern glass. There are frequent concerts in the summer that are well worth making an effort to attend.
