Discovered by accident whilst walking through the ajoining musee gardens. The roses smell so beautiful and the view towards the port and the mountains is worth the visit. Highy recommended.

This was a great surprise find after enjoying the matisse museum. The views of Nice were beautiful too. So glad I came upon this spot.

As the musee was closed on Tuesday, we had a wander around the large gardens and roman ruins, the monastere was open to the public.

We walked from our apartment up the hill to the Musee Matisse and were amazed at the Victorian era hotels that are now residences - good to read up on the history of Cimiez before coming here. Musee Matisse has a Picasso exhibition as well...More

the Monastery is perched above the city of nice and has some great views. The garden is nice to walk through and the site has close proximity to the Matisse museum and the museum of archeology with access to some old Roman ruins.

Very well organized, beautiful flowers, view over the sea, nice garden. Sometimes you will meet strange folks, but everybody behaves in the garden.

Unfortunately I don't remember the bus-number anymore, but it won't be difficult to ask any bus driver. You simply ask for a bus to monastère de Cimiez. Good luck and enjoy!

Our trip was organised by the department of shore excursions with everything included and our French guide took care of us. I am very sorry, I do not want to give a false information
