An active monastery overlooking Nice. Take your time slowly wandering about the gardens that are kept up by the monks and other volunteers. There are great viewpoints that overlook Nice.

Small monastary that is free to visit in Cimiez. It is nice to escape the heat during the day in Nice. Would recommend to combine this visit with the garden and the little Roman museum.

The church was very beautiful. We walked around the cemetery for a while - very interesting. And the views from the garden were breathtaking.

This is a nice side excursion, the monastery is pretty simple so it wont take long to view the chapel itself, however the monastery also has a garden you can walk through with great views of Nice.

This is a gorgeous monastery sitting atop a hill - you get a fabulous view of the city. It tends to be very quiet and relaxing, and the gardens are huge and well cared for, with many different types of flowers. The old Roman arena...More
