I am new to the area, and wanted to get used to riding my bicycle again, and the Base Nature is a great place to practice, as it is a former French naval airbase, and has great paved former taxiways and the main runway. There...More

The perfect place to go to with kids for a picnic...you can bring your own skates/cycles/boards/ball or any kind of sporting gear... There is a snack corner too in case you do not wish to bring your own food... Pets are welcome...

In summer the Base Nature and beach will be busy through to 7pm in evening. There is all day on street parking and a large parking area at Base Nature.

We really liked this beach which had the feel of an English seaside, without pier or penny slots. In the last half of September, there were also lifeguards and the beach was not crowded. There is even a Surf School! - almost Cornish! You can...More

If you are going to the actual beach, I would take or buy a cheap beach umbrella, available locally. The sun there can be very strong. Shade in the Restaurant dela Piscine obviously and some tree's.
