If you are in Cannes, this is worth a detour either to have a look at the clothes and shoe stores or to do your shopping for fresh produce. A lovely local atmosphere but not worth a journey.

this is les allees market!!!! next the Town Hall in le Suquet opposite the boats. Gambetta market is mainly clothes (better on Fridays and Saturdays) and fruit and veg. The BEST MARKET in Cannes is also in le Suquet - Marche Forville near rue Meynardier...More

There are markets and then there are markets - if you are in Cannes definitely not worth a visit. Less than a dozen tables, with junk even the vegetable area was a poor excuse for a market. AVOID

Its just a few blocks away from the port and it has everything. Loved the flowers, cheeses and variety of meats. We got there towards the end of the market but it was still crowded. We loved the fried squash flowers.

Very close to shops and hotels with bakeries and butchers in close proximity. The market sells a variety of fruit and vegetables at a cheap price.

Cannes is a beautiful walking city but where to buy popular priced items? Start in roughly the center of the waterfront and walk 4 blocks up Rue Mace. After three blocks the name changes to Rue Chabaud. At the cross street Rue Marceau you come...More

Not to be confused with Marche Forville which is Cannes largest market, the Marche Gambetta is nestled between Rue Jean Jaures and Rue Hoche and is a vibrant bustling of trade. We were impressed by the bags of herbs and spices, fishmonger's and butchers' stalls,...More

We had the opportunity to visit this market. It's a little out of the way but walking distance from the local sites. This market has local produce, shoes and cashmere scarves that are inexpensive and made great gifts to bring home.
