Lovely spot for boats, but there are too many boats. Lots of the boaties do not know the common sense of anchoring off which it's very close to each other almost crashing into other boats. Many boaties driving fast not caring the waves they created for others. There's a Catamaran pizza boat and other small boats selling F&B to the boaties having a day out here. Pizza was nice and tasty, not overly expensive. The staff driving around the boats to take orders and deliver them. They were friendly and helpful. There's also a smaller boat selling drinks and ice cream but the person selling ice cream was very rude and obnoxious. Was taking the photo of the boat as we couldn't see what he was selling. The seller came and told us off for taking any photos of him and his boat. On top of that, when he left, he purposely slammed and scraped his boat into our boat, giving our boat some scratches. Beware of this obnoxious ice cream and drinks seller (15/AUG/2023). Besides that, we enjoyed the beautiful weather and crystal clear sea water.

It is a beautiful quiet island even though the ferry was packed. We walked the entire island with our dog, it was relaxing. No noise, lots of water fountains to hydrate. It is definite must do. Plus if you have a dog it is an amazing g outing also for them.

The islands are ideal for an easy walk. They are well managed by the forestry department and the old fort is well worth a visit. In the summer I would recommend getting to the pier in plenty of time for the ferry otherwise you won’t get on! They now charge for entry to the museum

It is a must in Cot Azur
Sailing in the islands is one of the things you have to do 100%
It is better if you go early cause the water is more transparent by that time

Wonderful excursion from Cannes. A very quick and beautiful boat ride. The island is totally walkable. You can peak at the vineyards where the monks grow grapes for wine from the abbey. The sea views all around the island from the path are amazing. We attended the mass where the brothers sing and it was beautiful.

A bare [except for dried out trees] , flat island with NO outstanding features, except for the one over the top restaurant that 99.9% of the people could not afford.

so worth the visit, either by charter crossing or a private hire boat, the views back looking onto Cannes are stunning, the water is fresh and clear, perfect for a picnic and a cool swim

I go here everytime I return to Cannes whether it is January or August.
It is a place of peace, beauty and tranquillity. There is the abby to explore, the wine shop, and restaurant besides the beautiful bays and island.
If going in winter: boats are few, the restaurant is closed so bring a picnic, check the times of mass on the official website.
This is not a 'Disney land'! It is a genuine refuge and home for the monks, one needs to be respectful!
It is amazingly peaceful ❤

Bonsoir,

Hello! I would like to snorkel here. Is it best to take a ferry and find a beach to snorkel from, or should I book a boat tour? The ones I have read about do not seem to moor where there are fish or marine life. They also allow smoking, which I cannot be around (asthma). Any advice would be helpful! Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure what to suggest. The island is small but the beaches are rock but easy to get to and you can stay as long as
You like. We rented a small solar boat for the day, brought our own food and drinks and spent a few hours there in amongst
The big boats. We stayed In Cannes. There is a public beach there and that is where we rented the boat and also went swimming
And parking is free. I didn’t see anyone else snorkeling so I’m not sure if the tour boats stop. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Is it possible to take a pushchair onto the ferry & is it easy to get it onboard?

Very easy. On and off the boats. Though you’ll have to stay on the entry levels deck as the stairs up to the other decks are steep. But it’s only a 20 minute crossing.

Bonjour,
