Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went on a walking tour of Antibes with Cedric and could not be happier with our experience. In a friendly, clear, and engaging way he shared his love and knowledge of the city, pointing out hidden art, and leading us to beautiful and non-touristy areas. Completely unexpectedly, the tour even included two tastings! Antibes ended up being one of my favorite places to visit on our Mediterranean vacation thanks to this tour.

My group of friends booked a terrific walking tour of Antibes. After taking the train out to Antibes it was a short walk to the city center where the tour starts. Lucia was there to meet us and very easy to identify.

The night before I received a Whatsapp message confirming we would be at the tour. This was a great touch to confirm everything was all set. This tour is a free of charge tour but tipping your guide is encouraged (and expected) at the end of the tour.

Lucia lives in Antibes so she was able to give us all sorts of interesting history on the city and reveal personal experiences how the city has changed over time. She was easy to understand, clear speaking, made sure all the participants stayed with her, and walked at a realistic pace for everyone. She was very easy to listen to and has a great sense of humor.

Antibes is a terrific city to explore. There is a great mix of shops, architectures, and a terrific market. We stopped at the market for roughly 20 minutes and I could have honestly spent all day there. There were endless delicious items to see and only the fact that I can't bring back 90% of those items through customs stopped me from spending a fortune. If I lived there every vendor at the market would know me personally.

One of the most interesting stops was at an old bar in the basement of one of the shops. This used to be a hidden location where people would drink Absinthe when it was prohibited. Then Lucia showed us the method used back in the day to drink Absinthe and we were all able to try some. Not what I'd call delicious but similar to drinking a Grappa or Ouzo. It is quite potent.

The tour is roughly two hours. Wear comfortable shoes and please tip your guide afterwards. It really is worth it. I would love to do another tour with Lucia.

We had a really excellent city tour of Antibes with Cedric. He gave us the history but in an interesting and very engaging way. He is a great communicator and really enjoys connecting with people. We saw things that we would not have managed on our own. There were hidden gems and tips. Also a couple of surprise tastings typical of Antibes which added to the quality of the experience. One of the best free walks I have been on, which is saying something because they are generally all very high quality.

I did this tour a few weeks ago and it was a disappointment. First of all, we were a group of Spaniards so we were looking for a free tour of the city explained in our language. I booked this one because the language was Spanish. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the guide told us that this tour was only in English. Anyway, we did the tour and it was more of a walk than anything else, we felt that the history of the city was badly explained to us.

We arrived for the tour on 9/30/22 at 10:30. We ordered and received confirmation about a month ago. The day before the tour we received an e-mail reminder for the tour. We arrived about 15 minutes before the meeting point and waited for the guide. In the meantime, about 14 other travelers arrived who also booked the same tour. The guide never arrived. We waited another half hour and during this time a guide from the same company arrived who said she was doing another private tour but would check with her manager what was going on. After a few minutes we received an answer that we can wait until 14:00 and join another tour!!!!! I recommend not to be tempted and order a tour from the company. I travel a lot and participate in city tours. I have never met anything like it. gall!!!

Hi there, I'm sorry to read your bad experience. You just might want to check on your emails as that was not me but another business called RivieraBarCrawlTours who are in charge of the bookings for the Cannes tour and did make a mistake with their timetable. As a guide, I was also very upset with this situation as it was planned since August to run the tour on this particular day at 2:30pm. They obviously made a big mistake and when I was came as a guide at 2:30pm like planned, I met only 1 couple who related me this same story also. I'm having problems partnering with them to the point that I might stop my collaboration next year as I got frustrated for other reasons as well. So I'll be grateful if you would like to remove this review from my business and repost it on the people responsible for it: RivieraBarCrawlTours. If you had read my other reviews, you would have seen that i'm delivering a very different service to my customers. Thanks for your understanding. I'm still sorry again for what happened to you but bear in mind that I also suffer from their mistake. All the best, Cedric from WhatToDoRiviera

I went on the 1000 walking tour of Antibes with Cedric. He was excellent. He loves his city, gets great joy sharing it's history and stories, has a delightful sense of humour and made my visit special. If you get the chance join him for a walk around Vielle Antibes.

Cedric went way out and beyond his services to make sure I got on the walking tour even though the original guide was unable to do it due to illness. It was one of my highlights of this trip. Thank you very much Cedric!

One of the best comprehensive walking tours I've had (and I've been on a ton throughout the world at this point)! Cedric is passionate about Antibes and it shows. He's enthusiastic and kind - a perfect guide for this beautiful place. From food recs, to architecture, to history, to markets - he covered it all wonderfully.

I was in Nice for a few weeks and decided to take a day trip because I saw a tour was available. I had never been to Antibes before (or ever thought about visiting), but after this tour I was totally in love with this city.

Next time I come back to the south of France, Antibes will be my home base for sure and honestly credit it to all the sites Cedric covered on this tour. I actually went in 2019 pre-pandemic, but now that traveling is picking up again, I always think fondly of this tour!

Cedric is a lovely guy, very down to earth, genuine, and a local who clearly knows and loves the area. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent walking around Antibes with him. I did another walking tour in another area with a different company and it couldn't compare. I highly recommend a tour with Cedric and I sincerely hope to return to the area for an ebike tour someday

I was very impressed with all the information that What To Do Riviera gave prior to the tour including how to access local trains, the What’s App contact information for the guide etc. I have taken a number of walking tours in Europe and this was not the case so kudos! Our guide Ysa was engaging, funny and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great day in the beautiful town of Antibes
