Beautiful and peaceful. Happened upon it as we wandered from the Musée Calvet toward the Palace of the Popes. Lovely architecture and stained glass windows.

Unassuming and without clear markings, it is too easy to walk past Eglise Saint-Agricol. We came across it as we were walking to another landmark and, out of curiousity, walked to the entrance to look for any sign of idenification; there were none. Finally, we...More

We past this Gothic church from the 7th century as part of our walking tour of Avignon. We did not go but I took a picture of the facade of the church w/ a building that had a trompe l'oeil in one of its window....More

My hotel balcony look out at the church so I made my way down to see it. It was worth the trip. It was empty, dark and cool upon entering. What I will take to my death were the stained glass window. Particularly, the blues-...More

There are a lot of churches in Avignon and we wandered into a few of them. We were pleasantly surprised at the size and lightness of this one. There are eight or so chapels down the sides of the church. A nice place to sit...More

Very struck by the calm and peaceful atmosphere inside this church. Lovely light from the stained glass windows. A place that makes you want to pray.

We happened to visit the church while wandering in Avignon. It has some interesting features on the facade - many symbolic carvings, and looked like some missing or replaced. Interior was pleasant, but no particularly outstanding features. Glad we looked at it, added a bit...More

Going inside this church, we found it to be one of the darkest churches that we have ever experienced. Presumably, when services take place they can put on some lights. We did find two fonts; one a enormous, quite shallow bowl, whilst the other had...More

This church is worth taking time - if only to see the depictions of the Stations of the Cross in red and white. Quite a surprise in this traditional church, filled with the expected chapels and chairs. One caught my eye was dedicated to Joseph...More

This was not open to public when we visited Avignon, but it was near our hotel and we walked by it daily. Gorgeous old structure that is well lit at night too. In the center of numerous boutiques, cafes, etc.
