If walking towards the Palace then try the little streets off to the right. This is the old town shopping area that has a little more caricature.

Lot´s of people, sometimes too much. Remember to check behind the corners because you might find interesting places. There was a lot of street performances when we were there, they were advertising upcoming festivals.

Walk along this main street that’s flanked by a variety of shops. All kinds of clothing and shoes and even a few sweet shops in there too. I loved popping in to the various shops, hoping to find the perfect thing to take home. I...More

If you’re headed from the train station to the Palais du paper you’re sure to stroll along this street. There’s plenty of shops and eateries to keep you occupied if you do.

This street is the commercial area of Avignon. It links the gare(train station) to the place d'horloge, near Palais de Pape. Nice but nothing special about it. The small streets around I tb are much more pleasant to walk around.

This long street in Avignon is the artery of the city, linking the majority of key sights and it hosts some of the best restaurants and shops. A big contest to the small lines and alleys in either side of the street

My friend and I ate at multiple places on this street; a great place for all kinds of food and drinks, but not a lively place for bars at night. Mostly a late-night-food or normal food stop.

This is the main street for Avignon. It is about a kilometre in length, starting at the old city walls near the local rail station and ending in a lovely square filled with trees and restaurants. Multiple shops provide for clothing, food, shoes, homewares etc...More
