Not a lot of Van Gogh here -- about nine (excellent) paintings -- but enough to satisfy the VG vibe of the rest of Arles. You should not go if you are expecting a big Van Gogh museum. But if you like small, well-appointed art...More

We lucked out to find a small exhibit based on the theme of the sun. In addition to Van Gogh paintings there was also Picasso art work and music and video recordings of the American musician Sun Ra.

The museum has a few of Van Gogh's and Picasso's paintings presented nicely. However I had expected so many more since I am a fan of Van Gogh and the museum has around 300 paintings. The foundation features temporary exhibits of post impressionist artists and...More

Not many works by van Gogh, a few by Picasso which was a nice surprise. There are several levels, however, only part of the first level contains works by Van Gogh. There is a small gift shop and a rooftop observatory that the public can...More

We love the fact that Vincent Van Gogh spent time in Arles in his very short 37 year life span. We love seeing the places he painted - the arena, the Rhône river, the cafes and the bridges (the langlois bridge is still there and...More
