This is worth a visit (with either a combined ticket to the amphitheatre or the day ticket for 5/6 Roman sites, cloisters and art gallery). To think that what is left standing is 2000 years really is quite incredible. It's still being used for productions...More

Haf a walk through with our kids to get to the park. I was quite amazed by the Roman theater. It is so astonishing to see these places are still remaining after all these centuries. Still can be functional. Great place. I Recommend.

We had tickets to enter here because we bought a group of tickets which included Theatre Antique. If not I would not say it is good value to buy tickets for admission as you can pretty much see everything from outside the fence. In fact...More

It is undoubtedly worth seeing and undeniable in terms of historic value. We visited on a day when the Arenas was out of action all day due to a major bullfighting event and when you buy tickets they cant be separated; thus you have to...More

One of two large, impressive Roman sites that I saw in the old city. The Theatre Antique is less intact than the other site, the old Arena, since the people of Arles took the stones that comprised this amphitheater to use in their own construction...More

Worth a visit on the way to the amphitheatre. Had an event there when we attended. Some shade. No cafe.

You can see almost as much of this amazing relic from outside the railings as you can inside. Performances are undoubtedly more spectacular, but I was underwhelmed. It's not a place that I would pay to visit on its own but you can buy a...More

A beautiful Roman Theater. It is still used today for concerts and outdoor events during the busy summer months.

This is not up to some of the similar theatres in Greece or Turkey but should be part of your walking tour of Arles. In fact you can get very good views from outside through the numerous railings. Entering does not add much more. When...More
