The entrance to the church is spectacular; I believe it dates from the 12th century. The interior is interesting enough but I think we were in and out within about 10 minutes. The main attraction is the outer portal.

This church offers the opportunity for quiet repose especially after being in the busy Place de la Republique. The stained glass is beautiful.

We could only see it from outside as they have a lunch break and close the place, so better to go before 12 or after 2PM.

This is a fantastic Romanesque church right off the Place de la République. It has an intricate representation of the Last Judgment on the portal which is cool to see up-close in all its Middle Ages glory (even though this is definitely not the only...More

We enjoyed visiting this cathedral in Arles. The entrance is stunning and tells a biblical story in sculpture. The inside has been well preserved and has some interesting and valuable artifacts.

This should not be missed on a trip to Arles. It is a working church with many large 16th century tapestries on the walls. There is an altar dedicated to relics of numerous saints as well as beautiful marble tombs. Posters on the walls describe...More

This sight is absolutely best from the outside. Richly adorned with statues and symbols on the outside while rather bare scraped on the inside. It is free to enter so if you are here, you should enter, but if you are in a hurry, the...More

Lots of nice statues and reliefs to photograph on the outside. Just one more example of the amazing architecture from the period. Next to the Hotel de Ville and a nice town square with fountain to stop and take a rest

Located on the north-east corner of the Place de la Republique, this edifice was built between the 12th and 15th century and there are wonderful Romanesque sculptures over and beside the main entrance. The interior of the church is rather austere but has beautiful stained...More

Stop in to be transported to another era, 1000 years after the Roman era yet in some ways seeming more alien to the contemporary world. Be sure to go next door to the Cloister
