This tower is located right outside the train station and easy to miss if not paying attention. Not sure if you can tour the inside but just knowing the sort of tragedies that happened here are enough to make you pause and relish the moment.

Smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood on the outskirts of old town Rouen, this was where clergy and the English imprisoned Joan of Arc during her trial.

This is a sad, brief chapter in the atrocity of Joan of Arc -- where she was imprisoned before being burnt at the stake by the Church. (It IS amazing that it still stands, since many old structures were quarried for the pre-cut stone for...More

Info sent to us by Tourist Office etc. had opening times which were different on our arrival. It has probably been superceded by the Historial in the Bishops palace.

Unfortunately I came here once it closed (at around 9am on Saturday). The building is quite normal to me. Nothing is special much (except the name is what I heard in a movie - maybe). Just pass by is okay, no need to stay for...More

Imagined that this would be a museum type experience but in fact it is now an escape room type experience. Therefore nothing to see but the outside and no historical information provided.
