We happened to catch the organist practicing - Beautiful, echoing, acoustics. The current building is late Gothic (flamboyant) on top of a Romanesque base. Unique crucifix suspended above the altar under the Lantern tower

We tried to visit this beautiful historic church earlier in the week but learned it is open only on weekends. It was worth the wait. Smaller and simpler than many of the other churches in Rouen, it still has considerable architectural and historic charm. It...More

Impressive church, especially at night when it's all lit up. We sat outside a nearby café in the morning and listened to a service going on, when it had finished we went in only to find another service in progress. A priest was addressing a...More

You must go and see this beautiful church. My fauvorite from Rouen. I went in winter and it's beautiful but it's even better with a little winter sun. Perfect when you want to know a little bit about the city walking. It's very near the...More

This is a lovely Gothic church wedged in among many old French timber buildings dating back to the middle ages. It's close to the Rouen cathedral so worthwhile to walk past and admire the workmanship. Also, you pass by all those lovely timber buildings on...More

You must visit this beautiful cathedral. It is beautiful inside and outside. The Architecture is very beautiful. The cathedral is situated in a small square, surrounded by the daily life. No parking nearby.

I f you want to visit the Cathedral of Rouen, start by visiting this rather medium size church, because if you will visit it, after the Cathedral, you will under estimate its beauty and grandeur. It has a very beautiful façade, with the traditional three...More

I was very fortunate! It may not have been Bach - more of an improve - but it certainly suited the architecture.

Beside the cathedral another impressive church build in the 15th century in Gothic style. The West porch and façade is also decorated with a high number od sculptures. The outside doors are Renaissance style with carvings.

My sister and I stayed at Hotel Ibis Styles Rouen Centre Cathedrale last year. It was a nice hotel, and the price was good. While we didn't go to St. Maclou it looks like an easy walk on the map.
