Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

What a beautiful building and location, worth the walk out of Hon Fleur although we noticed a sight seeing train stop during our visit if you are not able to manage the hill.
Stunning view point over the town.
Bells are incredible but very loud.

We visited this church at the end of the day and were delighted ... a small church in a place surrounded by trees and with a beautiful view of the city.

This is a beautiful chapel on top of the Honfleur Hill. It was a place where many artists used to go to for the scenery.

The chapel is located in a park (with a car parking).

A small local church of C17th, filled with votive offerings (paintings, stained glass and ship models) many recalling sea voyages, rescues and tragedies.
Well worth a visit - and close to the very fine viewpoint overlooking the Seine estauary.

If you have little more time in Honfleur I suggest taking this walk (hike) to this old Church.
You leave the Honfleur tourist beehive and slowly climb the streets bypassing residential nice old houses seeing everyday life - so nice and quiet.
It takes around 20 min to reach this small Church which is very interesting and offering great views as well.

A little bit of effort to reach the place, but not too much, 20 minutes from the heart of the city. Impressive small white church located in an old fashion park. Visiting it you will avoid the crowded part of the city.

We climbed slowly up from the town and enjoyed the views along the way. The church and the bells are lovely. Historic and meaningful. The views and flowers are lovely. Recommend this outing.

The chapel is at the top of a steepish hill not far from the centre of town. It is worth the climb for the view over the Seine and for the chapel itself. I believe that the Petit Train might visit here but the tourist season was over and it wasn't running.

The chapel itself is quite unusual in design - small and intimate in design with nice stained glass windows with a maritime theme running through it - sailors would come here to be blessed and ask for safety before setting off on a long voyage.

Do try to get there at the top of the hours as the rack of bells outside plays part of Bizet's L'Arlesienne before chiming the hour.

Make sure you are up to a longish climb before setting ou up the hill

Visit on the hour if you want to enjoy the bells outside. Try not to photo bomb any wedding photos, there was a party there using this rather lovely spot to record their happy day. Great views across the Seine to Le Havre.
