I went to Giverny by taking a train from paris to Vernon, then it took the bus shuttle just by the station to Giverny. It gets easier when you reach there ... signs and directions are very clear and easy. Beautiful walk ways to the...More

It is worth to go to see the gardens of Giverny Monet's paintings, to see the garden that has become a botanical museum that fascinates the famous water lily pool, its green tiny bridge and its many kinds of scents. Don't look for a big...More

My husband and I left from Paris on an early train to get to Giverny early and hopefully to the gardens before most of the tourist buses. We were there by 9:30 and there were already so many buses and people in the gardens, that...More

Even in September the gardens are very colourful, although more pleasant when the sun is out. Quieter earlier in the morning. By 12 it was much busier with coach trips. It's also worth buying tickets before going.

Beautifully kept, magnificent gardens with homestead, gift shop of Claude Monet’s property . May be worth having a guided tour if your time is limited. It was extremely humid and hot ( Europe’s gripping heat if 100 degrees) while we were there and be aware...More

Just absolutely beautiful gardens and ponds. Well maintained. Nice walk. Easy to get to although there are a few steps. Could be a challenge with a large crowd. We had a smaller crowd on our visit and pictures were not easy as everyone wanted them....More

We visited the gardens, Monet’s home and museum. The lily garden was inviting a picture, as were the other gardens on his property. Absolutely a place to see if you appreciate Monet’s Art.

We visited in April, when the gardens were lush. Tulips and spring flowers everywhere. You should take a tour - we were with a Viking boat tour and it was included. They walked us around everywhere, including the interior of Monet's home and made sure...More

It's when it opens for the day. I also booked online and my printed ticket had the same information, but we went in a little later. It's good to arrive early, though, because it gets crowded. If you have a printed ticket... More

Yes, same thing - only with the tour you get a guide, if you don't do the tour, you are free to walk around by yourself. We didn't do the tour. It is definitely something to see, beautiful! Enjoy!
