Worth going to see the Monet and Bonnard. There is a nice Breugal (copy??) stuck in a corner too. Most of the work there is pretty dull to be honest. The contemporary work was suitably challenging but not much info about the artist. My husband...More

As I was forewarned of possibility of locating works and of the large portion of religious art..I went strait for the jugular and asked the very polite staff where Bruegel and Impressionists were and easily got around the gallery without it being an orienteering exercise....More

I had been to the chateau grounds several times, but never visited this museum. I found the layout confusing. I had to ask which direction to start and it got more confusing from there. There was construction noise, kids of all ages on school trips...More

The exhibits I preferred most were the first ones of the 15th - 16th Italian Renaissance, quite stunning although as a friend remarked there were a lot of them. The floor plan is a challenge as is finding the right staircase in the cavernous interior,...More

This is a good regional museum with some excellent pictures both old and more recent. The temporary Frits Thaulow exhibition made a most interesting supplement to the permanent display and made the visit of greater interest. Signage could be improved.
