What a great place to while away a Sunday afternoon, sitting on the pavement with an ice cream and watching all the street artists, really amongst it with the locals, then down to the Seine for a stroll along the river cafes. Perfect thing to...More

It is the bridge connecting Notre Dam to the mainland. we came across it while coming back from the backside of Notre Dam cathedral. There were few street artists performing on the bridge, it was quite a lively environment with lots of peoples there as...More

The only bridge connecting the two natural islands on the river Seine, the pedestrian bridge is one of the ways to get to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Great for a relaxing walk and the views.

You get to this second island in the Seine by walking behind Notre Dame Cathedral and over the bridge. The bridge itself is cut off from traffic and there are artists, musicians and sculptors and they were really, really good. We wandered around the streets...More

What a splendid place to stroll and while away a summer afternoon in this fabulous city! Celebrating a friends 60th birthday, we decided to spend the weekend 'wandering' various arondissements instead of 'doing the classic tourist bits' as we have tended to do. And what...More

When you come from Notre-Dame and after visiting Jean Square XXIII, you cross this bridge to stop and eat a nice cup of Berthillion ice cream, and enter Saint Louis island. Take the time and sit by the side of it and enjoy it!!

This pedestrian bridge links Ile St. Louis and Ile de la Cite and often has performers, some very good. Great views of Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame. Quiet and pleasant.

Walking around the back (east) end of Notre Dame catheral, one comes across this bridge that connects the two islands of the Seine. It's paved, but is chained off, so it's probably meant to be pedestrian-only (though watch out for motorcycles). We walked over it...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
