We went to this lovely church for a choir concert ( not free, 30 Euros) and were pleased with the church and the concert. The organ was exceptionally beautiful. There were nice paintings and beautiful statutes inside. The modern statue of Pope John Paul was...More

Free concerts are held here, so check the schedule. Beautiful place to hear good music, popular so come early. And after the concert, lots of places nearby for food and drink.

We just popped in while a choral performance was happening, and the acoustics were lovely. Great church, with a Gothic feel.

This is what I did when I came across it. Below the curious clock tower is the sign that reads Ecole de Gargons. I assumed it was a school and I just wasn't able to figure out where the church was! I only rated it...More

A lovely church behind an unassuming entrance. Good spot for quiet contemplation. Across the street from l'Auberge de la Reine Blanche (see review), one of our favourite Paris restaurants.

This small and lovely church is dedicated to Saint Louis of France, who ruled France as Louis IX from 1226 to 1270. The first church was built at the same place in 1614, and was surrounded by a cemetery and a market. In 1642, due...More

This church doesn't look like much from the outside. However the inside is nicely decorated, designed by Levau, who is the famous architect of the Versailles castle. The church was built in the 17th century and is now frequented by local French Catholic families, and...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
