We have been to Paris several time and while we visited le Marais, it is so much more fulfilling to stay there. It has exploded with so many shops and restaurants but also retains the feel of a neighborhood.

We stayed in this district while visiting Paris. We stayed right next to a bunch of restaurants and it was a great stay. Felt safe to walk day and night, and especially fun that its near tons of things to see.

Great neighborhood to just wander around. Plenty of stores and restaurants. If you have time, check out Au Bourguigon Du Marais, as a very nice place to get a drink and watch the world go by. We also stumbled on Paroisse Saint-Paul Saint-Louis (a historic...More

For me the best neighborhood of Paris, with quality choices for food and drinks. Near to Bastille square and highly recommended for walking in the alleys. A must visit place.

We stayed in La Marais in a beautiful apartment. It is probably 10 years since we last visited, many buildings have been tastefully refurbished, it really is a great district full of lovely shopping, restaurants, bars, parks and other attractions. Very pleased we stayed here...More

Le Marias is an incredible part of Paris with interesting shops, art galleries and restaurants. More to see than Blvd St Germain.

Great restaurants and easy to navigate. If you've been to NYC i would compare the atmosphere to Chelsea. If you are very conservative, this may not be the best fit, but we enjoyed ourselves!

Yes. I have stayed on my own in the Marais and felt quite safe. The restaurant Robert et Louise on Rue Vieille du Temple mainly does steaks and grilled meats. Admittedly when I was last there, so were many other tourists... More
