We saw a piece by Moliere, les Fourberies de Scapin, and it was fantastic. Anyone who likes theater and has a intermediate level of French or better, must put this on their list. Unlike Shakespeare, this piece was very easy to understand and follow. (and...More

The Comédie-Française is a gem in France’s cultural crown. Its plays are of the highest quality and the visite historique is a 2-hour walk through its fascinating history. A must-see for those interested in theatre and French cultural history.

What a beautiful space to see live theatre. The Richelieu room is absolutely spectacular and almost any seat is a great seat as the room is not that large. It's like one has stepped back in time. We saw a production of Moliere's Les Fourberies...More

This is a beautiful and classic theater, a piece of historic architecture. Come and see a performance (classic French theater pieces) and enjoy the theater design as well. Nice gift store inside.

Known as Moliere House (he died almost on stage, just after a play), the Comedie Francaise is believe to be the oldest theater in the world, located a block from the Louvre and next to the Palais Royal. While created by King Louis XIV (1680),...More

I recommend that you attend a performance in this gorgeous theater. It might be hard to understand the dialogue, but the interior is worth the price of admission. I also recommend the gift store.
