Very nice small museum with history of fishing in Concarneau. Exhibits and some fascinating films plus you can clamber around an old trawler ship that is moored to the museum. Well worth a visit, really enjoyable and quieter than the nearby busy Ville Clos where...More

The grandchildren saw the boat and wanted to go on it. We eventually worked out that it was part of the museum and decided to go in. Lots of very informative displays - a basic knowledge of French helps. Children go free and adults are...More

We went here expecting to burn half an hour before lunch and left over a hour later. Almost all of the displays are in French, but with my basic grasp of the language and by the way they were presented, I could understand enough and...More

Surprisingly interesting and the kids really enjoyed it especially going on a real fishing boat (what a great idea!!). Definitely worth a visit, and a welcome break to the hustle and bustle of the shops. Very well done.

Well worth a visit when you visit Concarneau - great value for money. The models were fantastic - so detailed. It has an excellent journey of fishing and we really enjoyed visiting the old fishing trawler. Make sure you include this in your itinerary.

What's there - lots of really good (and very detailed) models of boats and fishing processes - showing progression of fishing to modern times. Alongside the models are artefacts from coracles to to a large coelacanth. Museum also includes a self guided tour round a...More

This fishing museum is great for all the family . We really enjoyed looking at the fishing history. There was also an old fishing boat outside to look around which was good.
